At CPAP Ontario we buy all of our equipment from manufacturers in large quantities. This means we are able to discount our merchandise, allowing our customers to save money on their favourite CPAP items.

If you are waking up in the morning feeling congested, increase the humidity. It is quite common for nasal congestion to occur, as the sinuses are not used to the increased air flow. Heated tubing can help with this as well. If you are suffering from allergies, continue to use the CPAP, however, talk to your doctor about nasal decongestants and sprays.

Turn up the humidity and possibly purchase a water-based lubricant such as Rhinaris (found at all drug stores). Do not use oil-based products such as Vaseline! A room humidifier will not help.

It will usually take 2-6 weeks to adjust to the CPAP

Your headgear might be too tight, or the mask might not fit properly. Readjust the mask!

Once every 6 months to one year. The silicone on the mask will start to break down and a proper seal will not be achieved. The headgear will stretch over time and become worn with daily wear.

For the majority of people using CPAP it is just temporary until you get used to the CPAP. It is caused by swallowing air while using your CPAP. Try increasing your EPR or CFLEX or try sleeping on your side.
