Are You Movember Ready!? Tips On Using CPAP with A Mustache.

If you plan to grow a mustache this month but are hesitant because you wear CPAP there is no need to worry! We have some great tips for you. It is true that some CPAP masks do not conform as well to facial contours are seal as well with facial hair, but it is certainly not impossible to find a mask that works with your stash!

Nasal Pillow masks are a great option as they do not rest on the upper lip so the air flows directly through the nostrils avoiding contact with the facial hair.

We Recommend the Resmed Airfit P10 for its minimalistic and lightweight fame. The silicone pillow is comfortable, and the mask is easy to fit and use.

Nasal cushion masks are a little trickier but finding a mask that has a more minimal design and does not interfere with the mustache is key.

We Recommend the Resmed Airfit N20 for its reliable seal. The magnetic clips as well as the quick release elbow allow for quick attachment and detachment.

Full Face masks are a great option if your mouth drops open through the night. If you also have a beard you may want to concentrate on wearing a mask that sits lower on the chin.

We recommend the Resmed Airtouch F20 due to the memory foam cushion that contours to the face and the quick release elbow, making this mask comfortable and convenient.

And for beards we recommend the Fisher PaykeL Vitera with its roll-fit technology and breathable headgear this mask provides stability throughout the night.

Chinstrap and mask liners are great addon’s to your therapy to ensure a comfortable fit and seal. The chinstrap secures to the user’s head to keep the mouth from dropping open, and the liners are breathable fabric that is placed between the mask and face to help keep a well-sealed mask through the night. Both are great to try and use with facial hair.
